Congratulations! The Small Business Administration recognized Stephanie Loud, owner of Mountain West Precast, for her efforts and named her the winner of the 2014 Utah District Women-Owned Business Award! Zions Bank nominated Loud for the award. The nomination stated that under Loud’s leadership, Mountain West Precast has demonstrated entrepreneurial success in several areas.Zions Bank’s Nov./Dec. publication stated Loud is “ a prime example of the old adage, ‘Experience is the best teacher.’ Never intending to make a career out of a seemingly short-term job in a family member’s company during 2002, Loud quickly found herself running the business on a day-to-day basis. She reorganized the company under her own name in 2005 and has never looked back.” Loud’s many other accomplishments include being one of a few female owner/operators of a precast concrete plant, getting involved with NPCA to help put an edge on her production skills and continuing to offer innovative products, such as architectural precast designs. Listen to the Speaking on Business sound clip presented by Chis Redgraves to learn more about Loud’s achievements.
